The highest, most ineffable part of our existence is our eternal spirit. This is the core of our being, the foundation of existence. Our spirit is at one with, and part of, the infinite cosmic, universal spirit — or God. In this context, our spirit can be understood as our ‘higher self;’ it is the part of ourself that is directly connected with our Source.
Our Intuition connects our personal consciousness with the eternal consciousness. It is our direct connection to the divine. Functioning as an internal compass, Intuition guides us everyday as we create our lives, nudging us ever toward well-being and fulfillment. But, having free will — and being often too smart for own good — we have the choice to listen, or not to listen to our Intuition. These days, many of us dont even know what our Intuition is. We are lead blindly by pop culture, tradition or the influence of others that it is easy not to think for ourselves. But, for every one of us, the answers to everything we seek are within. The right answers are within. The wrong answers are everywhere else.
Intuition has been called The Sixth Sense. But its not really a sense at all; it is a connection. And the stronger the connection grows, the clearer life becomes. The illusions become more obvious, and the truth more certain than ever. Psychic ability, in turn, is a natural by product of Intuitive awareness — not because we gain ‘special powers’ but because we are transforming our consciousness to higher awareness. This connectedness is the aspiration of the human condition.
This is why I always say that Intuition is the most important part of being human — because our Intuition is our ‘savior.’ It is our lifeline out of any mess we have created for ourselves. It will lead us out of suffering. It will bring us to Peace. Always listen to the still quiet voice of knowing within. Intuition is not a decision — that is for the mind; it is not an emotion — that is for the soul. Intuition is the truth of the spirit — beyond the mind, beyond the soul and beyond the body.
Intuition is “the soul’s power of knowing God.” (Paramahansa Yogananda) and “clear concept of the whole, at once.” (Johann Kaspar). It is our inner guidance system, and it has the power to lead us to enlightenment and well-being.
